The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially inaugurated its 5-Man Working Committee for the three wards in Adoka District, in a bid to deepen grassroots engagement and strengthen party structures ahead of future elections.
The event, held at Adoka Central, was hosted by Ebije Dennis Ogbeche, a prominent figure within the party. In his remarks, Ogbeche called on the sons and daughters of Adoka to register with the ADC en masse, emphasizing that active participation would empower the community to influence decisions for the greater good of the district.
He reiterated the party’s core values of national unity, love, and equal rights, positioning the ADC as a platform for inclusive development.
Ogbeche was joined by John Ojila, the 2023 Labour Party flag bearer for the Adoka-Ugboju State Constituency and now a key stakeholder in the ADC. Both leaders encouraged young people to take advantage of the ongoing party registration exercise, stressing that political participation is vital to securing their future.
“This is a call to action for the youth. The ADC offers a credible alternative, and now is the time to take ownership of the future,” Ojila stated.
The meeting also served to promote internal unity and broaden the party’s support base in Adoka. The ADC received a warm reception from the local community, signaling growing acceptance in the area.
As part of the event, three 5-Man Working Committees were officially inaugurated across the district’s wards:
- Adoka Icho Ward: Ebute Ehi Gideon, Agadagba John Acheme, Iyakamo Sunday, Rose Joshua, and Samuel Ondachi.
- Adoka Ehaje Ward: Ngbede Amonjenu, Samuel Igbeha, Mrs. Gloria Echekwu, Audu Ochapa, and Mrs. Jessy Edoh.
- Entekpa Ward: Obiba Isa, Mary Kenneth, Edoh Omale, Blessing Ejoyi Olakpoga, and Ngbede Mathew.
The committees are expected to coordinate grassroots mobilization, support party registration efforts, and strengthen ADC’s political presence across the Adoka District.
